Bahraich: Director General visited in 42nd Battalion headquarters.

Amrit Mohan Prasad (IPS) Director General, SSB arrived at Battalion Headquarters on 08 of October during his two-day visit to 42nd Battalion.He was welcomed in the Officers' Mess and then in the auditorium of the battalion.Detailed information about the Battalion was given to him by Shri Ganga Singh Udawat, Commandant, 42nd B through a power point presentation.
On this ocassion, Sh Ratn Sanjay(IPS) IG Frontrier HQ Lucknow, Sh V Vikraman, DIG, SHQ Lakhimpur Kheri, Sh Manoj Kumar, Commandant, FHQ New Delhi and from 42nd Battalion Sh Partha Sarathi Roy( Adjutant), Sh Dilip Kumar, DC(Ops) and Sh Shashikant Kumar Singh, AC(Communication) were present.
After night halt, on 09 of October He was given a Guard of Honor in the Battalion premises. Thereafter the DG left for Integrated Check Post Rupaidiha where Sudhir Sharma, Manager ICP, apprised him of the working system there.
Met and interacted with the officers of the Opposition Nepal APF namely Sh Pradip Pal DIG APF and Sh Vimal Dangi, Commandant, 30th BN APF and presented them with a memento as a souvenir. Under mentioned points were discussed:-
1. Work together with the counterpart to create an effective system that will ensure positive results in fulfilling requirements of both the nation.
2. To ensure safety and security of both countries with alertness and proper border domination.
3. Illegal activities of anti-social/anti-national elements should be completely stopped.
He talked to the personnel of the SSB posted at ICP, listened to their problems and assured to resolve them as soon as possible. After that,he visited the border post Rupaidiha situated on the trade and transit route where he saw BIT, AHTU, dog squad and other working systems and gave necessary guidelines such as:-
1.Directed to complete Border road at the earliest for better communication and convenience of public as well as Force personnel.
2.Focused on smart policing and directed to be always courteous with the public.
After visiting the border road and border post Munshipurwa, held a Sainik Sammelan at the Battalion Headquarters, listened to the problems of the soldiers and asked them to write down their problems and send it to the higher headquarters with the recommendation of the Corps and assured to resolve them as per the standard operating procedure, along with that gave necessary guidelines and directed them to be very vigilant and cautious on the border. After having light refreshments with the soldiers, he left for the Force Headquarters.
